I was in worship talking with God about the struggles I had had that week. God showed me a picture of a book that was open. The page had writing on it, then I saw the page turning and felt God say, ‘not to worry about the past, that He had taken care of it, it is a new hour.’ The new page was beautiful and white without a mark or blemish. I then started looking through the book and found a page that was all wrinkled and smudged as if someone had tried to erase what was written on it. The page had duct tape criss-crossing all over it as well. I asked The Lord why the page looked the way it did? He said that this was a page that I had tried to ‘fix’ by myself.
Our Father already knows what our prayers and needs are before we even ask (Matthew 6:8). Just as He KNEW the Samaritan woman before she confessed her life to Him (John 4:17-19).He wants only the best for us, and He is the best!
So, if He is aware of our human short comings, wouldn’t it make the most sense just to take them to Him, so He can make the page beautiful and white without blemish? Striving to clean up our own pages and end up using a whole lot of duct tape is not our best choice!
“Be anxious for nothing, but with everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:6-7
